Perpetual Trophies
In addition to individual prizes for a range of category winners, the High Legh Robert Moffat Memorial Race has two stunning perpetual trophies. The bespoke glass trophies are engraved each year with the names of the first male and female runners; and running clubs fielding the winning male and female teams.
Created by local fused glass artist, Mark Briggs, the trophies are retained for display in High Legh Village Hall.
Race Categories
The High Legh Robert Moffat Memorial Race recognises winners in each of the following categories:
- First, second and third male and female runners
- First veteran male and female runners aged 40+: F40 & M40
- First veteran male and female runners aged 50+: F50 & M50
- First veteran male and female runners aged 60+: F60 & M60
- First veteran male and female runners aged 70+: F70 & M70
- First male and female High Legh resident runners
- First male and female team (see notes in the Race Rules for the definition of a team)
