Marshals / Superheroes

Race marshals ready for the start of the High legh 10kThe High Legh 10K requires a small army of volunteer marshals to organise it and ensure the runners have a safe and brilliant event. Route marshals are superheroes and we couldn’t do it without lots of them.

You too could join this team!
Please email us if you can help

  • Maybe you have friends or family running and want to support them on the day?
  • Maybe you’re one of those special team-spirited people who is willing to give some of your time to support your local / running community?
  • Maybe you’re not able to run this time but still want to be involved with a great local running event?

Race day volunteers

Whatever your motives, marshalling is rewarding and sometimes quite inspiring too!
Apart from a small thank-you gift, there is huge gratitude you get from us and from all the runners – it’s also great fun.

Who can volunteer?

Volunteers need to be aged over 16 to volunteer (14 and 15 year olds can volunteer with a supervising parent/guardian).

What does a Route Marshal do?

We need you to point runners in the right direction, alert them to any potential danger and provide heaps of encouragement to them.

Tempted?

If you’re tempted please email our Marshal Coordinator – we will be glad to have you onboard.
Many thanks for your interest!
